    Case closed?

That makes it even better :)

    Case closed?

Those are obviously fake. They are way too grammatical :)

    Weekly Pyra Preorder Stats

Way too many times. I try not to keep count, that will only make me (more) miserable. Yes, agreed. I am a bit allergic to the way ED phrases his news posts. He is always the optimist whereas I am much more of a pessimist myself. He drives me crazy with his "it is almost ok, just a small change...

    Weekly Pyra Preorder Stats

That is mostly speculation. Cases took much effort too (and are still not entirely done), like with the Pandora where they were a major cause of delays.

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

Just finished Teslagrad. Not too long, good mechanics with some great puzzles. Not extremely hard but it provided a challenge here and there. It was enjoyable, but I doubt it has much replay value (unless you are into speedrunning).

Comet Notebook: 1997 bulky 'handheld' computer/netbook

That was surprisingly awesome :) Thanks for sharing.

Here are those color cycling demos he is talking about: http://effectgames.com/demos/canvascycle/ Pretty awesome stuff.

    Electronic Arts

I don't really like that our nations are making this illegal as I would prefer consumers to just massively give EA the middle finger by permanently ignoring their products. That said, I hope they suffer anyway.

    Absurdism corner

Yikes! That is not good. What a shame too, I like what KSP is doing for getting people enthusiastic about space.

Exactly right. Extremes on either side of the spectrum don't really work. You can view an extreme welfare state as rewarding the non-working by redistributing the wealth of the working. If we all follow the reward then everybody would stop working and the system will collapse on itself as there...

Sure, ideals end where reality begins, in practice almost everything is grey instead of black and white. You still need to have those ideals to give direction.

    Facebook

If my friends or family only/mainly want to have contact with me through Facebook then they are saying that they do not want to have contact with me. The result is fewer but more meaningful relationships...which is fine by me.

    GOG.com

I hate GOG galaxy. Galaxy paves the road to DRM. Whenever Galaxy becomes obligatory then any Os/Architecture/platform that does not support it will be locked out. They are trying too hard to become steam.

Yes, having just filed my taxes does not really help in reducing the frustration. I suppose the flip side is that my bank account grew with roughly the same amount. What annoys me the most is the elimination of personal choice (elections just create the illusion of choice). If you phrase it...

Is it possible to refund just one of my 20 euro shop vouchers?

You are talking about having money for food... You actually have to cancel an order (on a Sunday evening) to have money to order food... I am at a loss for words here. I sincerely hope that you are just fishing for attention and that this is not true. :(

Perhaps not, though then there is also the risk of there not being a safety net for yourself and/or your loved ones when they need it. Also, people who are struggling to survive are more likely to resort to crime, which costs money too. Idealism aside for the moment, European crime rates seem to...

    GOG.com

Yes, Wine has been making leaps forward the last few years. Though I am not entirely sure how compatible it is with the latest AAA titles as I mostly play GOG stuff these days. Speaking about GOG, they really, really need to add a filter for owned games :( Managing GOG via the website is...

Don't get me wrong. I fully agree with that. However, just because you have a valid opinion does not mean you get to spend the money of someone else. Those that are dependent on the government for their income (e.g. those on unemployment benefits and civil servants) have a conflict of interest...

    World News Thread (Politics,whatever)

The problem is that by taking it away from me than I lose the choice of spending it on matters than are important to me. Answers inline for brevity. What? That does not make any sense. I am supporting them financially, through taxes. This does not work to my advantage. All the old people in my...
