    GPD MicroPC

The big problem I have with typing on the GPD Win 1 are those side bar buttons that make me have to stretch my thumb over a bit more on one side than the other, which results in cramps in that hand when typing. If they'd centered the keyboard and had some of the extra buttons in better places...

    GPD MicroPC

There's some amazing things you can do with SMD and BGA, but I don't trust the strength of them for connectors without some heavy duty reinforcement. Never seen an SMD Vga port, though.

    Preparing for a Prototype

In my experience, even though the maximum data transfer speed over USB suggests that it should take probably a couple of hours, the slow nonsequential write speed of a lot of drives seems to be the bottleneck for a lot of things being transferred. Even on 128GB drives. I transferred my install...

    GPD MicroPC

Yeah, I've been trying to find out what the heck is the deal with them putting power buttons only on the keyboard face of any sort of clamshell device. Any of these devices could be happily used as desktop replacements with everything plugged in and the screen closed, except for the fact that...

    GPD MicroPC

As I was browsing Amazon, I came across the Pocket 2 budget edition that seems to be the Pocket, but with 4GB of ram and a lower end processor, which seemed to be aimed at a 'budget' configuration. Not sure what the advantages of it over the Pocket would be other than maybe cost. It seems like...

PGS Windows 10 gaming handheld - GPD WIN competitor

The screen on that laptop looks at least half again the size of the one they're using on the mockup picture. 720p would be -barely- readable unless you scale it up. The Screen on the Gole1 is about twice the size of a laptop touchpad and even the text on that is very difficult to read unless you...

    GPD MicroPC

Well that, or making sure that the connection stays secure while it's in use. I remember one of my frustrations with old school serial where it would sometimes just fall out of the port.

PGS Windows 10 gaming handheld - GPD WIN competitor

That bottom screen looks WAY too small to be practicably useable. The Dot pitch would have to be miniscule. Unless Windows is running a second screen at like a 320x240 resolution maybe?

    GPD MicroPC

As an owner of a GPD WIn 1, I would just love to see someone redesign the keyboard so that it's more functional and easier to use. It can occupy the same footprint, just have keys in different places and it'd be perfectly fine. I think something that would be nice is if they could find a way to...

The World's Most Powerful Pocket-Sized PC

It looks like it might be 'Generic Chinese Mini-PC' that often gets rebranded.

The World's Most Powerful Pocket-Sized PC

I have a Gole1 that has similar specifications (Though it's the z8300 unit) with only 64GB of internal space but sadly, I did a stupid and accidentally bricked it with a setting in Bios I didn't mean to change and now there's no way to unbrick it without desoldering the bios. :(

    "Smach Z is Back!" ...?

I'm still skeptical until we see a video of a known entity reviewing the unit in hand, preferably at a Gamescom or at an E3. And one that isn't a flash of a video for two seconds of the unit (tethered to something) and the rest people walking around shaking hands and talking to each other.

    ZX Vega +

Well, this wasn't meant to hijack the conversation to discuss the TheC64 mini in a ZX Vega+ Posting, more was the concern about RCL vs RGL being tied to one another. I wasn't aware they would be considered separate entities or if they were under the same troubled umbrella. All that aside...

    ZX Vega +

I think what disturbs me more, is how this is going to affect TheC64 franchise. I own one of those units and I've been pretty happy with it for the most part, but I did not realize at the time that all of this was going on in relationship to Retro Computers Limited. As mentioned it seems like a...

Except in this case, ED is Tony Stark. :)

    "Smach Z is Back!" ...?

I think the guys responsible for the SmachZ saw the GPD Win and the PGS and thought this:

    Odroid Go

Sounds like a plan. I've been thinking about the headphone jack myself. Not that I really need it with 8 bit sound, but even the max volume is a bit high. There should be plenty space on the PCB to modify down to bare board to serve as a mount point for a volume wheel, and there is a bit of...

    Odroid Go

Now question is, are you going to paint your Odroid? I'm waiting to order some more shells so I can paint differently. Also, I had a bit of a rattle with the battery and speaker so I inserted a small bit of cardboard in there and now it sounds as solid as it feels. And you can't even tell...

    Release NetSurf

I still use Arora because it seems to load the fastest and also seems to be the least resource intensive compared to Netsurf (Though last I checked not by much!).

I found the picture! It was at the bottom of your post!
