    GPD WIN MAX ANNOUNCED

The GPD Win 2 was only a little larger than the GPD Win 1. The GPD Pocket 2 was about the same size as the GPD Pocket 1. I suspect the GPD Max might be more along the lines of a GPD Pocket, but maybe a bit larger (Perhaps 10" instead of 8"), as the sneak picture we see with the two fans, if it...

    GPD WIN MAX ANNOUNCED

The only other thing I have heard and have no reason to doubt is that it will be smaller than the SmachZ (Naturally) but based on the few photos I've seen it will probably be bigger than the GPD Win 2. What I wonder is if it will be EEE-PC sized, or if it will still be handheld. Considering how...

    GPD WIN MAX ANNOUNCED

I'll contact you at some point and see if we can work something out as far as just a motherboard and keyboard PCB is concerned, I wouldn't need any of the other parts as my Win 1 is working perfectly fine otherwise.

    GPD WIN MAX ANNOUNCED

Do you have any loose GPD Win Motherboards in good working order? Mine has an issue with the microHDMI port and I am not dexterous enough to desolder/solder a new one on. Also, any of the keyboard PCB's? Mine has some slight weirdness with boot sometimes and I have a suspicion that the power...

    GPD WIN MAX ANNOUNCED

The two batteries I got with my Pandora still work fine, though I have to take them out or they somehow kick on and drain while it's in its case and in my backpack, I suspect they're 'bouncing' and causing the pins to make it turn itself on. But they both still hold at least 95% charge and have...

    Bittboy CFW guide V3 V3.5 (Updated CFW_V4.1_Beta_20190810

Some of the emulators need the ability to remap buttons, I.E. Gpsp is missing this functionality. So for example when you're playing Super Mario World GBA and you hold down B and then press A to jump, while holding right, it drops down your extra item that you're holding in the box at the top...

    RetroStone

That's what I thought. So my question was if the screen's controller board could be forced to output a higher resolution signal or if it's hardcoded to only output 320x240. The LCD shouldn't matter in that regard, it would just be a matter of whether or not the controller could output a higher...

    Why not to by GPD

I don't have a problem with heat on my GPD Win, I usually run it with fan at max and I have coretemp to keep an eye on temperatures and they rarely seem to exceed 75C under full power, but usually they stay in the high 60's even when I'm playing Fallout New Vegas. More of my issue seems to be...

The screen itself does the downscaling? I didn't know that was how it worked. I thought the driver chip was what was responsible for formatting the signal for the screen.

Is that a function of the video chip they use to drive the display?

    LDK & Bittboy info

Without commenting on the quality of this product, What the hay is the deal with chopping the height of these consoles so short? Gracious, and I thought the Bittboy was short!

    Why not to by GPD

I love my Win, I just wish the keyboard was more like the Win 2's, and I wish the screen was natively landscape instead of rotated portrait. These two problems can be worked around, but not as easily as they should. I actually hav a 500GB M2 SSD in a case I have adhesive velcroed to the screen...

I've wondered if changing some settings might allow a higher resolution signal be sent through composite, since I've had many things run composite at 640x480 and they were fine, and some with 800x565 (Or close to 800x600) but the actual resolution of the screen itself may not be able to support...

    RetroStone

Necroing a post! I'm looking at picking one of these up this weekend. Based on reviews that I've seen, I would like to see a revision of this that addresses the following: * Higher resolution screen (640x480 minimum). This should take care of a lot of legibility issues that may arise, as well...

    SONY PlayStation Vita (PS Vita)

The rubber caps on the Vita are helpful but they degrade like most rubberized plastics, I've noticed. I've also discovered that they are WAY too sensitive for some games (I.E. PSP Wing Commander played on the Vita is unplayable because the Analogue stick is way too sensitive and there is no way...

    GPD MicroPC

6GB is better than 4Gb any day anyway. 8GB would have been better, but for a low power device such as this I suspect you'd probably run into CPU bottlenecks long before you ran into ram storage bottlenecks for most tasks anyway. 4GB just seems a bit anemic for Windows 10 and most applications...

    Update Retroarch 1.7.3

Huh. Did that earlier and it didn't work, reverted and rebooted again and it worked this time. Only thing is, I keep getting background 'flicker' of the desktop from time to time every couple of seconds, which seems to be causing framerate issues too. I like where this is going and the one stop...

    Update Retroarch 1.7.3

It's not, and the buttons work fine everywhere else. If I try using EmulationStation and try the mapping, they actually work within the UI itself showing that the buttons are working (Albeit showing PageUp/Down/Home/End as expected) but not within any games and the same behavior is exhibited in...

    Update Retroarch 1.7.3

I just cannot, for the life of me, get this to recognize face buttons on my Rebirth. Everything works fine in PCSX Rearmed, gpSP, Picodrive, GBC.Emu as well as many others, but Retroarch just completely ignores the face buttons. I cannot even get into the UI to reconfigure them because it...

So I hadn't used my Pandora for a while...

Mine seems to occasionally get itself turned back 'on' when its in its case in my backpack, I have a feeling it's getting bounced around and causing the battery contacts to bounce and restart it. I've had to start carrying mine with me with its battery removed.
