:-D
Just for fun, I'll give this a try and see how it looks. The level of geekiness will raise dramatically :-D But from practical reasons I'll omit this feature in the 'public' design version. I want to keep it as simple as possible.
How are we gonna call this ... it's not steampunk ... a...
^ Do you mean something like screens in Terry Gilliam's Brazil movie? I thought about it as well some other time :-D We would need quite a big Fresnel lens.
Edit: Maybe something like this?
Thank you all for your kind words!
Original goal was to have something quickly and easily erectable for travels where the monitors are not available. I was also coding often at the dinning table at that time and it was pain in the eyes even with glasses on my nose. I used piled books or other random stuff to raise the Pandora...
Two years later ...
... we've got a prototype here :-D
Well, two years ago I didn't know about the existence of services like Ponoko or their European partner Formulor.
I've redesigned the stand for 5,5 mm MDF available at Ponoko but let it made from 5 mm MDF at Formulor. I expected it to be...
Thanks for the port!
Can somebody help me a bit? I'm stuck in the beginning after taking the suite and I'm supposed to go into the lab but the eye-scanner says "Access denied". Other 'air-locked' door guarded by one security officer doesn't open either (I'm not sure which one leads to the...
#3.
There is Qtractor in the repo. It should be exactly what you want for MIDI and it has become stable with recent PND updates. You'll need Qjack to run it successfully.
Hmm ... weird. Launching script within PND just overrides HOME variable to 'current' directory which is in the end /media/CARD/pandora/appdata/calcurse.
You can try to mount the PND, copy all of it's content to directory of your choice and then launch 'run_calcurse.sh'. It should work in the...
I have the same problem as Silent-Hunter. Tried to set it up following this guide:

Yeah, I was also surprised by not finding it in the repo, having it installed for years. It seems it was released through this thread only at pre-repo times.
The same happened to my left nub. Responsiveness was slowly degrading over several weeks. Then I sent it to ED/Askarus for a repair as it was less than year since my 1GHz upgrade.
Nubs are analog. They get discalibrated slightly over time. Luckily they can be calibrated back by just moving them into all extreme directions/positions. So called 'nub dance' is recommended any time you feel the sensitivity goes down. Just move them slowly and steadily in circles. Both...
That's what I get too. Then I just log-off and after that log-in screen appears on external monitor in it's native resolution (talking xfce here).
Is directly connected DisplayLink 'hot pluggable'? (can't test it myself right now)
Depending on how precise your frequencies should be but you can use SunVox. Insert basic generator module where you can switch between sin/sq/saw/noise, activate the spectum analyzer and use the onscreen or hw keyboard to play the notes. There is also Touch Theremin-like XY pad to get the smooth...
