SD card fake/corrupt? check with f3 on slackware

Tried something else. Formatted one sd card to exFAT and ran f3write and f3read again. No corrupt sectors during reading this time. I didn't understand why in the write phase there were sometimes numbers before writing the file e.g. Creating file 32.h2w ... OK...

SD card fake/corrupt? check with f3 on slackware

The SD card I checked is formatted and fully checked with f3 in my Pandora. I've also used several card readers and two of them are Anker. Haven' t tried the same approach with another Pandora and another card to see if the issue is consistent.

SD card fake/corrupt? check with f3 on slackware

I have been playing around with Slackware see here and tried to install it on a Toshiba M203/EA 64 GB SD card. Installing Slackware didn't work on these cards only once after formatting to EXT-2 but followed by error messages and endless fsck loop. So I wanted to be sure the 5 cards I bought...

    Slackware for Pandora 14.2

FBreader PND verion says 0.12.10 and the slackbuild version 0.99.4 Tbh that doesn't mean a lot. They went from 0.12.10 to 0.99.4 between april 2012 and november 2012. After that FBreader became commercial software and development only continued for Android/IOS. It is not a very big deal if it...

    Slackware for Pandora 14.2

The gentoo repo doesn't seem to provide any clue what to use. Not sure if I am up to the task to use patches anyway. https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/log/?qt=grep&q=fbreader Haven't tried the fbreader pnd, but I don't really need to do that - the main reason for trying out Slackware is...

    Slackware for Pandora 14.2

Thanks - it took a very long time compiling but unfortunately another error (a different one though- so there is progress :) ) Doesn't seem to be QT related this time.

    Slackware for Pandora 14.2

As mentioned tried to use sbopkg to install FBreader. Fbreader is available in the slackbuilds repository. http://slackbuilds.org/repository/14.2/office/fbreader/ Only dependency libunibreak So first I used sbopkg to install libunibreak. I don't think there were any issues installing that...

    Slackware for Pandora 14.2

Sure - tried a Kingston 32Gb card and that was a huge difference. https://www.kingston.com/netherlands/en/memory-cards/canvas-select-plus-sd-card?capacity=32gb Copying to the card a lot faster and also after starting slackware it is a lot faster. Rebooted 2 times and no SD card errors. Changed...

    Slackware for Pandora 14.2

Gave 4.2 a try yesterday on a Classic Pandora. Have been on my to-do list for a while. Want to setup one Pandy for Slackware only especially for packages that are not longer maintained. SD-card Toshiba M203/EA 64 GB => EXT4 failed => EXT2 I could install it but after the initial success it...

This could be one to watch

Screen from Watchy is probably its best feature and wifi might be nice. Also checked banglejs - most features, most apps, but it is very thick and 4 times the price of the PineTime. It has a pomodoro app though. Probably skip Watchy and banglejs, (no need for double time ;)) and wait until...

This could be one to watch

PineTime is cheaper and I am wondering if that watch will not have a larger community and more apps developed. At least they are a lot further in development. I only use my current watch as a count-down timer during sports and as pomodoro timer. Would be interested in one of both if they have a...
