There! I've posted my driver changes to the palmas_gpadc driver to the iio kernel mailing list :D Hopefully they will trickle down into the mainline kernel eventually

I took some time today to parse the omap4_abe_new firmware blob from here: https://git.ti.com/cgit/glsdk/abefw-omap4plus/
That's the firmware that is being used with the TI GLSDK 6.03.00.01. Looks like it contains much of the things that make up the graphs above, plus some vendor blobs as well...
I finally decided to get a "real" keyboard :D

How do you like this for a workaround:
fdt addr ${fdtaddr}; fdt resize; fdt set /ocp/interconnect@4a000000/segment@0/target-module@64000/usbhshost@0/ehci@c00/usbether@3 mac-address [${usbethaddr_spaces}]
I can take a look :) unfortunately, time is running out this weekend so don't expect much :( I've already spent most of it on "fixing" a stupid bug with the network card on the devboard so it doesn't get a random MAC address every boot. Kinda annoying, but I have a workaround now. I also have...
Yes, I've seen the release mails, but I can never find the actual commits I find interesting.
For example, the release you linked mentions "some fixes for soc_component_driver for aess", so I wanted to check that code. I followed the git download link...
I spent some time today to learn GitHub actions and create a deb package for the userspace tool :D
Check out the first official release!
https://github.com/Risca/pyra_vol_mon/releases/tag/v1.0.1
The deb package should install without issues on the Pyra, but you need the kernel changes for it...
I should dump all the possible controls available to amixer in the Linux-3.8 kernel once I get home again. Hopefully tomorrow, but it might be next week
@hns, I don't know if this will help you but I ran vizdapm on my devboard when playing audio running Linux-3.8.13.
This is for /sys/kernel/debug/asoc/PandaBoard5/dapm:
And this is for /sys/kernel/debug/asoc/PandaBoard5/twl6040-codec/dapm:
Unfortunately, I got kernel oops whenever I tried to...
Found it!
It was referenced in this talk:
The original link doesn't work anymore, but I found a fork: https://github.com/mihais/asoc-tools/blob/master/bin/vizdapm
I find that ST wiki have fairly good documentation of various aspects of the Linux kernel. For example, they have an article on audio configuration and troubleshooting: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/ALSA_overview#How_to_trace_and_debug_the_framework
I'm sure I've seen a visualization tool...
