Just to say the same has happened to me on 1.55, and I upgraded to 1.61 to see if that would fix it but no dice. I was talking to ekianjo about this via PM and as I understand it (correct me if I'm wrong!), ekianjo hasn't found a solution either. It would be great if this could get fixed, or...

Bit late to the party here, but are Craig's 500 preorders the people who originally ordered a cable when they preordered their Pandora back in 2007 or whenever? Or do I have to order a new one?

yeah! the red led goes on and off. Also, though I can't see what's happening onscreen, I think it is still recognising when I press buttons or try to open applications. Thanks for helping, btw :)

I don't recall a burned smell when it happened and it doesn't seem any warmer than usual... you think it might be the LCD cable?

thanks guys. Tried a hard reset, no joy, tried holding down right shoulder button when booting, no joy there either. I've attached a pic of what appears when I boot. Guess it'll have to go back.

So there I was, randomly browsing the web on my 1ghz rebirth Pandora when all of a sudden the screen dissolved into lots of grey lines. I tried rebooting but all I can get are grey lines all over the screen. Tried holding the right shoulder button down, taking the battery out and putting it back...

I'll try and report back tonight (didn't have enough time last night). The box is amazing, I can tell you that much! I think I have Yoshi's Island somewhere; did that not work well enough on a regular Pandora?

What's the plan for those of us who need to send back our original Pandoras?

I'm a bit late to the party, but great work ingoreis and mcobit. I've spent the weekend getting my head round qemu and finally got there - managed to get Last Express working, now I'm going to hit GOG to see what else I can get running. I'm upgrading to the 1Ghz Pandora, hopefully Blade Runner...

Apologies if I've missed anything but I wasn't sure if searching the forums for 'PCB upgrade' would get me very far! There was some disussion a while ago that people with original 256Mb Pandoras might be able to get their PCBs upgraded to the new 512Mb ones. Is that still likely to be the case...

I'd pay to upgrade... especially if it meant I could get the 2nd slot fixed at the same time, as I'm now on my third Pandora and didn't have the patience and energy to send it back again ;-)
