The first time you open the Pandora it should play the classical intro bit from Symphony :P Anyway, I think the GP2X was fairly successful and even though i didn't have one, I can see that it has it's uses. I think many people will still use their GP2X for some things.

I think craigx is doing the OS right now, but I know that theres been discussion of using ubuntu before, but it would require too much RAM. The minimum memory stated on the Ubuntu MID edition page says 256+ and :pandora1: has 128. And I'm not running Ubuntu, although I am using Mandriva.

I never owned a GP2X cause i never had the money to get one and by the time i could potentially raise enough to get one, i found out about the pandora. I'm definately gonna wait for the pandora, the thought of playing some FF7 on the go and then playing some SNES Zelda makes me drool...
