Emulator FAQ/Setup repo?

That's right, I'm also referring to the shoulder buttons.

It definitely works fine with Hotfix 6 - it's possible that it could be a Hotfix 7 and Super Zaxxon issue. After all, I'm told that some other applications don't work with the latter, for example.

Just downloaded the Dega version from the Pandora Apps page, and it works great -- it saves, loads, everything, no crashes. For reference, the one on Pandora Apps is called dega-1.16-5.pnd, and the one on the repo is called dega-1.16c.pnd. Not sure if I ever tried it under Hotfix 6; I haven't messed around with Game Gear in awhile. Thanks for the advice, though!

I know I'm resurrecting an old thread, but I didn't see any need in creating a new one for this question...

I've been having an urge to play through a bunch of my old Sega Game Gear games. I can get them to run in Dega, but I can't seem to get anything to save or load. In the instructions, it says the save and load functions are done with the L & R buttons combined with a number key for the save slot. However, whenever I hit the L button, the emulator exits. Any ideas on the right control scheme?

For most things, I like Picodrive better, and although it will open Game Gear roms, it doesn't seem to render them correctly -- text disappears, the colors are very strange, etc. If anyone has any suggestions on getting them to run in Picodrive correctly (I'm not really sure they're supposed to run in it at all) -- or to get the most out of Dega -- I'd love to hear it!

Mednafen also supports Game Gear so you may want to give that a try.

Use the mednafen-gg launcher.

F5 to save, and F7 to load save states. 0 - 9 to pick the save slot.
