    Dreamcast 2 Petition. Really? Why?

Why - because some people cannot let go. Sega is nothing like they used to be (just like Konami - but for very different reasons). The Dreamcast 2 would not have much of a place in todays gaming market - look at Nintendo - trust me they will be praying hard for the NX to be successful. Now, Sega...

The smallest steambox or retro games dream

Ok. I already had an idea of what this device would be capable of, as I already have a great little Linx 8 tablet. However, this little unit packs a little more performance (I'm guessing that's down to 2GB of ram rather than the 1GB I have on my tablet. For emulation:- Mame - great, but don't...

The smallest steambox or retro games dream

Yeah!! It's arrived. Will check out later when I get home from work. Have to admit, it's not as small as the Meegopad, but it is very small (think Galaxy Note mobile phone). The finish is very good, feels solid in the hand. Comes with the standard Chinglish instructions, Micro HDMI cable, usb...

Yeah, I agree. They are both pretty cool devices. I suspect that Microsoft and Intel are in bed together on this to do two things:- 1) Make in roads into the the tablet market with cheap, devices that offer decent performance and battery life - but with added benefit of FULL compatibility with...

I was just thinking - I have still got my old eeePC 701 - the internals of this would be a nice replacement. Just need a screen replacement, and you would have a pretty nice netbook. Just need to get in touch with my inner Ben Heck and start hacking (once it arrives).

You have the option to install any flavour of Linux etc... I'm going to try and see I make a Hackintosh out of it (probably not - but you gotta try). 10.5 worked well on the older atoms, and Baytrail beasts those. Might not work with 10.6 any beyond though.

The smallest steambox or retro games dream

This device will run a number of games quite nicely. However, as a small and tidy emulation machine, it will be great. If you are making a Mame machine, emulation hardware  (without heat issues) - sorted!!! I have got one order - looking forward to playing with it. Or it would make a great lite...

Logo led on the back of the lid

If done right, I think this will help give the Pyra a premium look. The Pandora is a great device, but to my mind it doesn't have a premuim look. Plus once dev's have implemented functions for notfication, flash light, mood lighting, flash to music/audio/microphone, metronome etc... it will be a...

    2. Screen for DJing?

I have a Motorola Lapdock. I have connected my Raspberry Pi and PS3 to it - the display is very good, clear and bright with a nice frame rate. I think it would be a very good solution for you, The battery life is great. Not sure if using the Pyra would give you an extended desktop (different...

    Questions about further Pyra features

Hi WizardStan - thanks for the speedy response to my questions. 1) Glad to read that is going to be added 2) Looking forward to the docking station 3) My only issue with the Pandora was the case felt cheap and not like a premuim product. With the features and performance of the Pyra, a really...

    Questions about further Pyra features

Hi all, Been following this project for sometime. All looks exciting (love the demo with PSX emulators running). I have a couple of questions:- 1) Is it possible to have an lit logo on the back of the case, like an Apple Mac (extra cost option)? 2) Are there plans for a docking station for...

Opt Should Sell Op To Someone With Enough Financial Leverage

Craigix and openpandora has a very bright future. More and more the hardware you purchase is more of a rental. As Craigix rightly stated, company's can and do remove features, software and content as they feel. This is only going to get worst. I want hardware I control. Openpandora and Linux is...
