Your Most Wanted Emulated Game On Pandora? (aka Friday Night Insomnia.

Exactly. It was the last GOOD game by the Sonic Team. At the time, the game was unbelievable: it had procedurally generated music (it changed dynamically according to what was happening on the screen. Not "changed from one MP3 to another": it increased/decreased BPM, changed the instruments...

Your Most Wanted Emulated Game On Pandora? (aka Friday Night Insomnia.

The big one that hasn't been mentioned yet (on a system that hasn't been mentioned yet, sadly): NiGHTS on the Saturn.

Your Most Wanted Ported Game On Pandora?

Freeciv. I wouldn't mind the UFO series (UFO: AI is a good candidate), Sim City 2000, the Caesar series, the Settler series, etc... But Freeciv would be perfect.

    Embedded Gnome - Possible?

The GNOME community has announced a mobile/embedded initiative, GMAE. You can check the press release and an Ars Technica post on it. My question is: can the GP2X run that (acceptably)? I would try to tag along the development myself and help bring it to us, but I speak neither C, C++ nor Python :(

    Pocketsnes V4

Just tested this. My sound-on savestates work fine when I load them with sound off, but a savestate made with sound off locks the emulation when loaded with sound turned on and there should be a sound (like the sound of an attack in an RPG).

This happened to me, also. Lost some 3 hours in Chrono Trigger due to this :( By the way, IMHO, saves should be commited to the card right after being asked by the player. I've also lost some hours of game time when my batteries failed in-game :( Now I quit any emulator as soon as I...

Cps2emu Test Version 6 And Capex Beta 2 Released

Yes, that's a PPC. You probably nailed it: opening both files on Emacs give, for the first few bytes (before a long sequence of \377s): CPS2XC0^@ H^C^@^Q\242+^@^@^@~^@ (from the Windows/x86 cache) CPS2XC0^@^@^CH ^@+\242^Q^@~^@^@ (from the OSX/ppc cache) Switched at each four bytes, after the...

Cps2emu Test Version 6 And Capex Beta 2 Released

Yes, it's samplerate. Eye-based copy-and-paste without spellchecking usually has this kind of result... Actually, you've got it: the caches aren't getting well formed. I got my brother to send me a (Windows-generated) cache for street fighter alpha: $ md5sum sfa.cache...

Cps2emu Test Version 6 And Capex Beta 2 Released

Unfortunately, that's not an option on Mac OSX/ppc :( Made it work, though: I copied the romcnv Makefile from test5, changed it to include /usr/include/malloc, altered the name of the function zOpen to zOpen2 (looks like zOpen is taken already... I changed wherever it appears, so the code stays...

Cps2emu Test Version 6 And Capex Beta 2 Released

Does it need new cache files? If so, how can I compile romcnv on a *nix system (it has no Makefile!) I hope this version doesn't segfault on my console, as all the previous ones did :(

    Cps2emu Test Version 5

For some reason, this emulator simply refuses to run on my GP2x. Running from sterm or logging the output using gmenu2x gives me segmentation faults right after loading /lib/modules/2.4.25/kernel/drivers/input/joydev.o (which loads with a bunch of unresolved symbols). Even running cps2emu --help...
