if you do not protect the pcb pads (where the components are soldered onto) because you do not expect long storage they will oxidize (rust) which makes machine soldering harder and failure rate goes up a lot
for commercial production failure rate is a real profitability killer
btw. inhouse...
are we there yet ? :p
In september my extra SIM card I ordered in anticipation for my Pyra will turn 3, still in mint collectors edition  really glad I did not buy SD Cards back then too :D just relax, neither nagging nor impatience wills peed thing up
oh nice hope it trickles down to older models too
I have an (older series) InfinityBook from Tuxedo (germanys answer to System76, no idea who was first) which uses the same "base" hardware (forgot who manufuctures them) as the Galago Pro and its very nice
I like the gif where he shows how the logo lights up without a power cable attached but yeah they did do some work on it for sure, they had a lot of money and time after all
well I was planning to pour resin into the structural defekt there anyhow ;) so just make a fancy sticker ... like the idea with the recessed cases though
statement: If you want the Pyra to succeed (and be upgraded in the future) it needs to sell reasonably well
observation: People (not already aware of it) are more willing to spend a large chunk of money on a Pyra if it looks like a high-value item
conclusion: Paint the cases
suggestion: Take...
