    Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Please stay safe, y'all

Guy knocked on the door today (some sales crap). He was wearing a mask but promptly took it off to start talking. /facepalm

I've heard a similar quote, but I heard it was what an old lady responded with if she has ever suffered with senile dementia.

On the upgradability of the Pyra

Sorry, I was being slightly sardonic. However, multifunction devices tend to complicate control, unless there is a hardware kill switch. If I want a camera for the Pyra, I would look at discrete plug-in options.

If you want a surveillance device, get a smartphone.

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

Divine Divinity 2 - getting towards the end of the first chapter, and loving it.

    It's software this time!

I'd be happy if there's a mod for the Pyra that can do this: Can you make that happen? Great work on the software by the way.

Now the thread is back on track, is there a chance you could share some more photos or thoughts on the case @daveshah? There's a earth-shattering decision reaching us fast, and I'd like a little more to help us decide between dark chrome and black. Currently I'm on the dark chrome side of the...

Politics of Gnome and Perceptions of rudeness (Random things from Daveshah's thread)

There's something about ridiculous arguments against codes of conduct (basically asking people to act in a mature, respectful and fair way to one another) that reminds me of an oft cited quote from Gandhi when asked what he thought of Western civilization. Purportedly he replied with "I think it...

Politics of Gnome and Perceptions of rudeness (Random things from Daveshah's thread)

I love the community here. Everyone has something positive to contribute in some way, even those that come across as critical or scathing often want the Pyra to become better and more successful. Skin color, belief, ethics don't matter when we're sharing a common interest, and as far as I'm...

Politics of Gnome and Perceptions of rudeness (Random things from Daveshah's thread)

The wider term "SJW" is just a meme. If it's a reason to do or not do something simply because of the label, that sounds pretty pointless.

    How open is the Pyra?

From memory, I think case designs had been made available, but if they are available, they are out of date as they don't include modifications (e.g. shoulder button enhancements).

    It's software this time!

There's not been much reported for a while, that's true, but we do have complete production units being made, and one that's been dispatched and received.

There are also a couple of tiny usb cameras available.

Thanks so much @daveshah for not only your hard work but also for feeding back to us. This is very much appreciated :)

I hope some things have been happening in parallel with the software to get Pyras shipment ready. There's still packaging, perhaps other PR-related work... and perhaps also certification testing.
