Both nubs suddenly dead? Anyone else seen this?

Before I send my unit in for repair, I just wanted to check if anyone else has experienced this. I haven't used my Pandora in a couple of months, last time it was working perfectly, but this time when I turned it on, the nubs were both dead and removing the battery and rebooting doesn't help...

A legal Mega-download of ROM's for the Pandora

For what it's worth, regarding back2roots, dream17 and similar sites: I would probably inquire about the license for those freely distributable Amiga games before including them in a package. In some cases they do not allow any kind of online redistribution beyond the original site that got the...

    And so they double... (2010-09-30)

I really hope this estimation holds. I do want the nubs to be as durable as possible, but it's really getting quite tiresome knowing that I'm just on the edge of the "unprocessed" queue, and still have to wait. October will be a busy month for me so not getting my Pandora in the middle of it all...

How to unsubscribe from Craig's spam?

Interesting: here I've been trying to figure out for months why I am NOT getting Craigix' email updates (I did subscribe, and resubscribed a few times the last few weeks just to be sure, but never got a confirmation on the subscription status (guessing Craig isn't using an automated listserver)).

Birthplace of a Pandora Board and a power loss (2010-09-16)

No confirmation email here, so I'm guessing 'no', or if they were, that they were mainly replacement units so the actual queue hasn't moved a lot.

Ok So, How Many Pandoras Are Shipped To Customers?

Weird. I've been in the mailing list since day one, and haven't recieved any mail from it in ages (no, spam filters hasn't caught any, either). I was told more than a month ago that my unit would be shipping with the next batch to be shipped, so I guess not a lot of units have been shipped...

    Best PS1 games thread

+1 for Chrono Cross - it's a fantastic game in it's own right but unfortunately doesn't live up to Chrono Trigger (and anyone expecting a good tie-in with Chrono Trigger would, I think, be sorely disappointed by the game). Too bad the PSX port of Chrono Trigger was nearly unplayable (plus they...

    Best Neo-Geo Games

I have to agree; pretty much every game released for the Neo-Geo was at the absolute top of it's genre at the time, both in terms of graphics, animation, and gameplay.

    Best SNES games

Most have been mentioned already, such as: Super Mario Allstars (for all the classic Mario goodness you can shake a pipe at) Yoshi's Island (brilliant, and much better visually than the reiterations on later platforms) Chrono Trigger (still the best console RPG ever, on any platform, IMHO)...

    Unreal Engine, Now For Arm/powervr?

It was officially rated at 833 MHz but is underclocked to 600 MHz.

    Unreal Engine, Now For Arm/powervr?

Seems Epic has ported the Unreal Engine for use on the iPhone down to 3GS, and I can only say it is truly amazing. Go download it on iTunes and check it out. It really shows off what is possible with the ARM/PowerVR combo. I don't expect this will amount to much for the Pandora, seeing as the...

    Processor?

Ahem. The iPhone 3G S (2009) is based on a 600 MHz Cortex A-8 and a PowerVR SGX 535 GPU, so it's not very different from the Pandora in terms of processing power. Granted, the iPhone's A-8 is rated for 833 MHz but it's underclocked to 600, so I don't see how the 3G S could have a very large...

    Latest Build News

I'd hazard a guess and say "no". There seem to be no posts as far as I can see on the forums that says anyone in the 350-450 range at Craigix' store have recieved a unit (except for those that settled for a one-nub unit). I'd love to be proven wrong though.
