After a balls up by ups my gamepark finally arrived yesterday. All I can say is how truely amazing this machine is. I've already got over 60 games on the thing, and I've managed to get mario kart working :D Apart from the sound is pretty slow and bogs the gameplay down a bit. So I just leave the sound off! :D

Anyway, where can I find a decent megadrive emulator? I had a look on this sites website but the link to the megadrive emulator on it doesnt exsist. :(

SNES emu runs slow? are you sure you have OpenSNES9xGP not any of those other ones? All my SNES games work Great.

Have fun, i really recommend GPcinema, it's a great program

Yeah, I have the opensnes emulator. I can get zelda to run perfectly at 156mhz, it's just mario kart is a bit of a swine but I guess it's just a case of tweaking the options until I get it running right.

Top Gear is also another one which can be a bit of a bugger at times.

Mario Kart uses the DSP 1 chip which explains the slow down. TopGear uses the DSP 4 chip which is specific to this game only, and again explains the slowdown. It wasnt until way later in SNES emulation development (for the PC) that we got full speed emulation of the DSP chips, even today some of them are still being worked on.

The best megadrive emulator was released on christmas day last year for 24 hours as a preview. There is a lot of rumour about when the next version will be released, but when it is, I think it's gonna be good :)

didn't he ask for info about a gen emu...i use da xmas release of fgen, it runs great, but doesn't support sound. strictly speaking you shouldn't still be able to get hold of this emu, but those naughty ppl @ zophar.net have a download...

yeah, im also soo lucky with my gp32. i've had so much fun with it and it refreshes dreams of my childhood, mostly the frodo C64 emulator. this was the first time i was playing games and started coding.
the first console i had, was the snes, so i love opensenes9xgp and i also hope for an update at may 1st.
all friends of mine, i showed the gp were truly impressed and the possibilty it could emulate snes and genesis is incredible. the work of those guys (hm, i have 2 in mind) is highly honorable and i hope they are still working an their projects.
i don't know, if these 2 guys know that they are making childhood dreams of many gamers make true (already made true...).

and this community is great, too. im now 25 years old and i never would give my gp32 away. never..there are so many memories on so many games i can play now and there are so many games i can play now, what i have missed for so many years. uhhu..teardrops falling..

thanks too all, who have coded for this machine. truly!
