Every played Wario ware?

How bout a game like that but with GP games and some origional, it wouldnt be that hard to code because the games are simple...

And since the games are simple, anyone could contribute...

How bout it?

Nice idea, Wario Ware is easily one of the best original GBA games. Maybe if there were some decent tutorials to come out for the Game Creation Program just released we could use that, although it would obvouisly make the games pretty simular.

You mean like this?

Sorry to get your hopes up :) I started a remake last year but the project is closed now and wont be released as I only done a few different games and none of them were entirely finished, also as you can see all the gfx (apart from the hamster.. long story) were nicked from the GBA version so I would never have released it... might write it on the zodiac or something else in the future though.

edit - ignore the image quality, used too much compression on the jpegs and too lazy to redo them

Craig, it will be like Mario Ware?

Guyfawkes: if you made a Zodiac version, please feel free to made free the code. We will port it to gp32!! B)

i think that this is a great idea and will gladly make room on my SMC for it

cause lately my bestfriend has been playing my GP32 and she likes those simple puzzle type games. :D

If i do make the zodiac (or other machine) version the source probably wont be released, zodiac sources are (at the moment) closed source due to the NDA you have to agree to when signing up when using the tapwave sdk. If I was to write a normal palm application there wouldnt be any problem but I wouldnt be able to take advantage of any of the zodiac hardware.

At the moment I am working on Darts for the very final release on GP32, it will be entered in GBAX 2004 for fun as I cant win anything. Depending on if its finished before the deadline I might clean up the wario ware game and make a small release but please dont expect it to be any good as there are only a few games.

mabe you could make the source avalible or allow other people to submit games to you? since they're all just suposed to be simple 5 second games I doubt you couldnt get people to make stuff for you. I think even the beginner coders could handle things like "catch the stick".

To be honest someone would be better off just writing the whole lot themselves from scratch, like you said the games are very simple to make and all it would really need is a frontend to tie it all together. With a bit of planning you could design a format that would allow people to write their own mini games and call functions from the main code to update the scores, play music/sfx, display gfx etc.
