Over the last few weeks, I've been starting my GP32 fanzine, GPM.

So far I have reviews of some commericial games, (Tomak, Dyhard and Treasure Island) some homebrew games (Mya Mya Rocket, Tobi Drummer etc.) and of course, some emulators and the roms that run in them.

Besides that, there are features on utilities, previews and emails.

I have also managed to score a 3 page interview with the creator of Darts GP, Guy Fawkes. I will also be previewing the latest version of Darts.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what else they would like to go in? The fanzine is quite far into completion, but still a long way to go. I am a one man team, and only doing this in my spare time.

Expect to see Issue One of GPM in the next month, with a preview issue Zero possible if there is enough call for one. If anyone can help me out with hosting, or point me in the right direction let me know.

Good luck,I creted a magazine for gp32,But the day before the launch my hdd was formatted. If you would like any help,Please contact me through PM.

damnit, I alway wanted to contribute to gp32zine, but never had the time or ideas... I still think the GP32 needs some kind of diskmap...

Really looking forward to see, especially because it seems that there won't be another gp32zine.
Eh? When did that happen?

Don't worry, I haven't given up. I've taken into account alot of the ideas here and combines them with some of my own. I will be having the Retro system charts in a way, but in the form of the 100 Greatest Games To Emulate On Your GP32.

I'll keep you updated with more stuff, and can anyone suggest a good free host?

Personally, I kinda miss the diskmag. I forget what it was called, but I find it interesting to be able to read articles on your gp32 anywhere and anytime.

That sounds rather interesting. The website (Gp32 Pie) that never made it out of the basic stages that turned into GPM was going to have articles of that nature. Perhaps I'll release a version with txt files and some crucial JPEGS to read on the go.

I'm also looking into a printed, advanced version. Would there be any demand for this?

You could use a program thingy that I'm making (I dunno if it'll ever be finished) that can show txt & pics together :) If I ever finish it ofcourse :)

{Thread-Hijack} GP32:Zine isn't dead, it's just that zimba doesn't seem interested now that Lik-Sang aren't offering money. I expected this, and since I have the original templates of the zine it's possible to resurrect it myself, but I'd need to contact other members, and right now there simply isn't enough going on in the GP32 scene to warrant a magazine. Mark, best of luck with your production, but you may find that once you've covered a good portion of the commercial games out there you've run out of things to write about :) I assume you know about GP32:Zine, but if you don't, check it out: http://www.gp32zine.com/ Also avoid Lik-Sang as a host, they were the reason behind each and every one of our magazine delays while we waited for their fucking ad guy to come back from holiday and get us some adverts. Although the deal was pretty sweet for us, it was too good to be true.

Then again it may be a good option for you to collaborate with us, but you seem to be a one-man kind of person (who likes control over his projects - nothing wrong with that, though) so I suspect you would prefer to go it alone.

Hey thanks. I've only ever read Issue 3 of your magazine and I must say I loved it, I didn't go on to Issue 1 and 2 to avoid me (inadvertadly) copying your style. The fact I'm a one man team has many drawbacks, mainly because:

A) I'm not the most acomplished writer. (My spelling is awful)
B) I have no talent concerning art AT ALL.
C) I don't have that much free time, due to college, work and my small but nicely formed social life.

But on the plus side it does mean that I can say whatever the hell I want without fear of it not being printed, and can write when I want. For example, out of the three commercial games I have rated so far not one has gotten over Six Out Of Ten (with two of them considerbly less) all because I'm being honest. I'm not trying to please the developers of these games, or put them down for the sake of it. I'm giving my honest opinion.

Again, I loved GP32Zine and hope there are more issues. My fanzine isn't made to compete with it, just provide a different choice.

And besides, I couldn't fill it's large boots.
