OK, I was not really sure where to put this topic, so I`ll just go with general talk.

As the novel I am doing for the VNS gets closer to being finished, I just wondered if you would like voice acting in it. I THINK I can pull it off (have done several plays myself and have good equipment), but if nobody wants voices, I don`t think I'll bother anyway....

Maybe a little about the story. I did not do the concept for the story myself, but I am doing King Diamond's "The Puppet Master". In case someone does not know the CD (probably can exchange "someone" with "everyone"), it is a horror story involving a puppet theater, a couple of lovers and of course the puppet master and his wife.... no, I'm not gonna tell you about the story just yet :p

Back to the voices. There would not be TOO MUCH of it. The story is told from an I-perspective, and what little direct speech there is I would record. The narrator will not be recorded, except for when he talks about himself talking (sounds strange, doesn`t it?).

So... what do you think?

It depends on how big th game will be. I think voice acting will enrich the atmosphere "if" done well but I doubt if you're gonna find capabla voice actors. Voice acting is harder than you think. Especially with the lack of body language which requires more feeling in your voice but then not too much. It's hard.
