I was playing it fine at home... I took it to school (was kind of cold outside though...) had it in my pocket, got no signnificant jostle or jar... And when I went home and turned it on, FLU was dim, almost DEAD/OFF when I turned it on, checked the FLU switch, then changed batteries to fresh ones......Same problem....

What happened? and how do I fix it?

what the.......it's......fine now? (after getting desperate and just holding a few button combos, hopeing I hit some sort of stealth dimmer combo...)

What is going on?

Edit: (I DID have the frontlight off for a while... I had it outside in the sun...) does it take a minute to "warm up" If you turn it back on after prolonged use of it off?

It could be due to condensation of large change in temperature. It is recommended that you do not use electrical systems an hour or so after this in most manuals I have read.

perhaps....

Maybe I should be a bit more careful about taking it outside in extreme conditions.

from the manual:

"Taking the device from the cold outdoors, to the warm indoorsm, can cause moisture to collect inside the device. Using the device in this condition can cause damage. In this case, turn off the device, leave the device in a warm room (about 1 hour) until moisture dries"

so maybe there was a moisture issue that caused it.

this is becoming a very frequent complaint.. ive just got a new gp because of the exactly same reason.. .. to be honest, i wouldnt be surprised if my new one developed the same fault... :(

I dont believe it. It happened to me too,

Last night, I was wiping the GP32 screen with a piece of cloth and the FLU turned itself off. It would'nt come on. I changed the batteries , no use.. However it came back after couple of minutes..

I guess loose contacts..

This has happened a lot lately, seems to be on a batch of flus from about 3 months ago.

Don't open it, return it.

hmm...

Well, as long as it works. I'll not mess with it. Gave me a friggin scare earlier.

i have the same problem.. its been about a month and i havent seen the slightest jitter outa my flu... i contacted lik-sang and they refused to take it back.. after about 4 emails complaining to them i gave up.. they just stopped responding by the last one. i might send it in to mashmods.com the guy there said hed give it a try.. but if i could send it back that would be better. also i bought my flu in december.. so i can hardly see how a warrenty can be over in a month
