Black gp32

Yeah, I saw that awhile ago. I really want a black gp32, but unfortunately there aren't any black FLUs :(

looks kinda cheesy with that grey trim though
(which doesn't bother me at all in the white model)

do any of you guys remember the super-limited edition "white gamegear" that was released ages ago? couldn't get your hands on one of those without spending some serious $$$.. now it's the black one which is special..

My GP32 is black but I miss it being white sometimes.
Ummmm, trade ya :D

It would be fun to dye/paint the shell, but getting out the LCD and the FLU first, and getting it back in afterwards, is too much trouble for me to go through.

yeah mine is black, i wish i had not died it, it was almost a disaster, i got the back part pretty much done (a little brownish) when i put the front in it came out bronze :( i about crapped my pants, i still need to redo the back <_< the front looks pretty good...

i want to send my case away to get it chromed B) that would be cooler than black and it might make it feel more "metaly" and sturdier :) but, that would cost a lot and take a lot of time

twimfy: did you get a replacement shell? or did you dye it?

Thankfully I got my Black case at the Great British meet up so it's actually a proper shell replacement rather than a dye job. Sadly I had to cut my white case in half to get the damn thing to come off, which is why I can't go back to white.

Why did you have to cut it in half?

The hardest part is getting the little LED bit out of the case.

Cant remember Twimfy.... was yours a FLU?

No mine isn't a FLU but the LED just wouldn't come out so I had to cut the top bit in half. It didn't go back in to easily either.

Tell me about it. I've just spent the last hour or so fitting my new black case, and in the end I gave up trying to get the little LED bit out :(. Does anyone have a solution that doesn't involve cutting up my white case?

there is a dying guide in which tells you howto take apart the FLU unit, all you need to do is just detatch the wires from the switch that is attached to the back of the unit *or take off the switch itself with the wires and re-put it back on there*

The led bit I'm talking about isn't the actual led itself, it's the small piece of plastic that you see glowing when the led lights up behind it. The little bugger is well and truely stuck :(
I've read all the guides I can find, but they assume you're going to be taking your gp32 apart then putting it back in the same case so they don't mention the led bit.
