Every time I encode a movie with virtual dub the sound is WAAYYY off
What am i doing wrong? I followed the guide on gp32emu and got the same results with the matrix and lord of the rings ;) any help would be great.

Right... you'll probably find that's one of two problems at a guess.
FIRST - you could be using variable bitrates - according to virtualdub, this causes anything from a millisecond lack of synch to a massive half minute or so. Solution - extract the audio to an uncompressed .wav file and then select the "wav file" option from the audio menu.

SECOND (and more likely) - you're ending up with a framerate that's near to 10fps but not quite at it (say, 12). The video will look fine, generally, but the audio gets out of synch VERY quickly. Solution: Decimate by 3 instead of 2, 4 instead of three, etc - I'm sure you get the idea.

Possibly others (obviously) but I don't know them. Perhaps too high a bitrate might do it? Just a guess.
