Hi, I have had my gp32 for about 8 months now, things were going great, I have 1 card for mp3's and one for games BUT I turned my gp32 on this morning only to find that it came up with no SMC has been inserted. Bollocks was my first thought, so I insert the other one only to find that my other card comes up with the same error message. Any ideas?? Any help would be greatly apreace appreci appreciat....... would be very nice. Cheers! :D

When you start up your GP go to the pc-link option and try to recover the SMC. Should work. well worked on mine! :D

Sorry my fault I should have put this in my first post. When I go to the link option and try to recover the card it still says that the card does not exist or is not inserted properly. I come when I put either of my cards in which makes me think that it is a hardware fault. Has anyone else experience this problem? Is there anything like resetting my gp32 that I could do? :(

Cheers for posting :p

about once every 1 month my smc goes haywire and I have to reformat it and put everything back on it. Don't know why.

The trouble is that when I go into the pc link screen and attempt to recover the card it doesn't work. 1 Card I could understand but both dying at once? I can't have luck that bad..........can I?

Do you have a card reader? If so, see if that'll read the card, and if so, back it up before reformatting.

Note: Reformat the card in the GP32, not the PC, to ensure it's exactly how the GP32 requires it (sometimes it can refuse the card after being formatted by a card reader).
