Mplayer 1.0 Pre 8 Alpha1 Released


All I know is that if the gp2x can gain the capability to play anthing mplayer can and controll the brightness like mplayer. Then the gp2x is the god of all handhelds forever. :D

All that's really needed is the source to the original mplayer build on the system to build on-- which apparently some people have, it's just under NDA. I think that's expired by now, though.

Until the GP3x.
That will break the GPL for about half a year once its released...

I've compiled mplayer into a shared library, but it doesn't work properly with audio. I'll take another look at it tonight. The API is incredibly simple, as you will see.

UPDATE: Audio working now, video not.

UPDATE AGAIN: All is working! More here ^_^
