Hello,

I searched for this topic but didn't find anything so apologies if it has been answered already.

Right, my gp2x is coming tomorrow :D and I'm about to go out and buy an sd card and batteries. My question is:

Is it worth getting a faster SD card? will it make any difference to the speed that games load or anything like that?

Thanks

It can help for the PSX emulator, and possibly some high bitrate video files, but shouldn't affect much else (apart from transfer time copying files to the card).

Still, I'd grab at least a 60x (it's usually only an exta $5 or so over a "normal" speed card), but 150x if you expect to play a lot of PSX (one day soon, if zodttd has anything to say about it!) & movies.

Excellent, thank you. I will go and buy a 60x 2gb card for now and save up to buy a 150x card in a couple of weeks (by which time I expect we will have perfect playstation emulation :D  )
