I'm a noob, as my name says, and i was using robsters alternative u-boot thingy and there was much rejoicing when i got to "firmware upgrading" after following every step as carefully as a noob could. But then it just stayed there, taunting me!!! it will not go away and i have it hooked up to a power supply.

Any Suggestions?

Sorry, i kind of posted this somewhere else, but i think more help will come from this post.

Doesn't Rob's uboot just update the uboot? You have to update the firmware seperately. Rob's uboot updater doesn't upgrade the firmware for you.

srry for wasting time here, i went out and bought an sd card reader so i could look at my sd card without the gp2x. What happened was that in all the processes that happened the kernal got deleted from the root directory.

Don't worry, we're happy to help people who have a good attitude!
We just can't stand it when someone blames us or the gp2x (or possibly someone else  ) for their own problems/stupidity.

Your question was fine and we're glad to help.
