I Wish Gamepark Were As Informative As Gph

I've put off getting a Gp2x in the hopes that this thing might deliver some cool features. Regarding Gamepark's E3 apperance, I heard a lot of 2nd hand information which was never really delivered directly to the gaming public. Since E3 there's been a complete void of both posting and any news (2nd hand or not) regarding this. Who was waiting for this thing and ended up getting a Gp2x instead?

The XGP will never happen unless they get investment. They were at E3 trying, and i've not heard that they got any...

Me. I was waiting for some more solid info because I wasn't thrilled with what I saw from the GP2X. I've bought on, and, indeed, the system isn't as polished as the GP32 but it could be close after more firmwares are released. I still want an XGP mini though.

I think they should scrap the XGP and XGP Kids, and just go with the XGP Mini. There'll be a lot less confusion that way, and I think they'll be more likely to get investments with just one, plus that one seems to be the one that I've seen most people here say they want.

And increase memory to 64Mb or even 128Mb. The GP2x proved that such niche handheld can have its audience. With such split for 3 modes GP is just confusing people. Arm cpu, enough memory, decent peripherals and friendly policy towards developers and it could have a chance.

Did they want funding for all three consoles? I certainly think that they should just go with one, A Mini with 128 mb and Wi-fi would be great! Releasing three different "slightly incompatable" consoles is not only diluting the niche market, but it's kind of suicide as well for GP

"slightly incompatible" as in different resolution and memory size is a major difference.

It'd could only work (to a degree) if all software would be 3D based but it's not a case.

Both the XGP and XGPmini should be 3D compatible, except the RAM might be an issue. XGP kids shouldn't matter since it's pretty much a GP32.
