Firmware 2.0

the green loading screen? mine did that the first time and then i repeated the firmware update and it worked, i don't know if doing that is recommended though, i guess do it at your own risk

mines ding the same...im gona turn it off then on.......

EDIT...nope still the same, mine hangs on the green screen

Can someone confirm how long this update takes? Mines been on the green screen for about 5 mins now.

You need to.

It always gets stuck after the first upgrade process, because the new kernel tries to load the new filesystem which has not been created yet.
The new U-Boot is able to create it, so switch off, press SELECT+START while turning it on again, and the upgrade will finish.

Hmm that doesn't work for me. It just tries to upgrade the firmware again...

It's the same upgrade firmware screen, but it's doing something different. When it's done, the green screen should come back. After it's loaded, you should get a patching screen. Once that's done, you should be good to go.

Nope, it still hangs.

EDIT: Fucking great, now it wont boot the update, looks like GPH bricked my GP2X with their shitty update.

I had exactly the same problem, but I tried two things out at the same time and I'm not sure which one fixed it!!

1. Downloaded the version 2.0 firmware from http://craig.gp2x.de/fw20fixed.zip
2. After unzipping changed the permission from read only to write on all files on my sd card.

Did the select + start on power up, the firmware, patching and NAND format screens appeared.
Hope this Helps.

Except for that the final in the archive won't boot for me.

EDIT: I finally got it working by reformatting my SD card and running the firmware update again. It's like the damned updates are ghetto-rigged or something...
