If you have time, or are just bored of working, or whatever, I'd appreciate if you'd could poke about on this site I'm preparing to launch formally in the near future.

Any suggestions or criticisms are welcome.
I'm also looking for maybe a couple of people to help me get some initial content ready and or moderate things.

Project Infinity Developer Site

Just a quick observation: The top naviagation bar is very hard to see (in fact I missed it at first glance). so I would change the scheme.

Apart from that, the idea is sound and the rest looks fine. What would be nice is if you could host source control server for those that want it.

Must agree. If the bar was on it's own, it would probably look ok, but with the "This is TikiWiki " immediately on top of it, it all looks a bit cramped and you kinda ignore the menu bar immediately below the text. Maybe split them up by putting the "Find" in the middle of them?

Also, where the black fades to white in that same menu bar, it makes the text difficult to read.

Hmmm, changing the style to "ForestDef" makes it a lot more readable, but the text at the top still looks cramped (I'm talking about the menu bar and the "This is TikiWiki " text immediately above it).

Move 'This is TikiWiki 1.9.2 -Sirius- © 2002–2005 by the Tiki community Apr 20, 2006 [07:52]' to the footer.
Add padding to the search bar and nav bar so they're spaced out.
Close your navbar <a> tags, at the moment there's some extra underlining going on.
Use the ForestDef theme, it looks better (I'm not a huge fan of gradients, especially circular ones being used for rectangular objects)

Looking good.
mayby a bit grey ;)
Mayby add a tiny bit of a brighter colour.
Or maby add a bit of black

OK, thanks for the comments (keep them coming :) ).

I agree some sort of source control would be a great asset to this type of site, but I looked into SVN before and don't really see how I could set it up with my hosting... I only really have FTP access and other hosting settings are configured through a control panel with my host (virtual domain, MySQL DBs etc.) Any suggestions? Or any info I'm clearly missing that means I can set up such a system?

About the bar... I'll see what can be done... also about spacing things out. The search box is not actually where I want it to be in any case, I'm not 100% sure how to move it, however. I'm guessing I could use css to position it if I can find the class name for it (shouldn't be too difficult).

Well ... I got rid of the search bar and moved it to the side menu...

The gradient image I will change in due course.

What's baking my noodle is how on earth to get rid of that text above the menu bar... I can't seem to find reference to it anywhere
