Hello, I was wondering if anyone had had the problem of their headphone jack breaking. Mine broke off from the motherboard of the GP2X and it looks like it needs to be soddered(spelling?) back on.

@ Lemurx : It's a common problem
have a look at this thread : http://www.gp32x.de/board/index.php?showtopic=23495&hl=
I took some pictures on post #33. And with more solder my jack doesn't move anymore.
If you haven't any soldering Iron, any good screwdriver and no minimum soldering skills and/or don't want to void your warranty : send it back !

@ Hanz: Ooooo, that's risky

Mine didn't sank completly but this little thing telling the gp2x's speakers to turn off broke. I just had to push it a little and resolder it:

Mine is rattling inside my GP2x. :)

"rattling inside" is actually very dangerous , I think you should stop using your gp2x right now and fix it.

Why? When the connector breaks , there will be a piece of plastic with four conductive metal parts "bouncing" around your gp2x , where will they stop? Will there be a short circuit? nobody knows ... but there is always a possibility to things go VERY wrong.

After trying to use it for the first time , my headphone connector fell right above the NAND ram chip. I wonder what could havbe happened if I left it that way.
