Hi, i just bought my gp32 and ive downloaded and registered evrything, i have formatted my SMC and installed the free launcher, but i can only send MP3 files to the gp32 thru the GP32 spec thing, it wont let me send other files to my gp32 through copy + paste or drag

HELP! PLZ! :'(

On behalf of MP3's:
With PC-Link use the MP3 Basket under 'GP32 Specific' for sending MP3 to the GP32 if you intend to use the MP3-Player that is included in the BIOS. I would recommend you install the MP3 Player (beta?) that is part of the latest korean PC link software and can be downloaded separately IIRC - it is waaay better.

OK, just so that we get things done properly:
  • Install GP32 driver (use the 'hacked' or the official one, I recommend 'hacked')
  • Install PCLink
  • Start PCLink and DO NOT CLICK OK when prompted to connect the GP32
  • Connect GP32 to the USB port
  • Turn the GP32 on and select 'PCLink' (press select twice then start)
  • The GP32 display should now show 'Now waiting...'
  • Now you may press the OK button on your PC
  • Do your thing
Have you followed this procedure? :)
Make sure that all files you want to transfer to the GP32 comply with the 8.3 rule: 8 or less characters for the filename, then a dot, followed by exactly 3 characters for the extension. I suggest using a commercial card reader/writer for the PC since those things are pretty cheap nowadays and the transfer is pretty fast... and you don't have to worry about the filenames, too. :p

Ah well. HTH...

He probably thinks you can drag and drop files into the link app window.

No, you have to use the filebrowser at the left of the application window to manually find the file on your PC and right click it, choose copy, and then open the correct folder in your GP32 and select paste.

You may drag&drop inside of the PCLink application, though. :)

Expand the view on the left till you've found your file, then use copy&paste like mentioned or just drag the file to the desired location...
