Hello everybody,

*skip this part if you don't care*
I've been following the GP2X since November, when it came out.
Today, I finally got mine. It came with firmware 1.2.1, and worked perfectly.
So without knowing about the issues with certain SD cards, threw the 1.4 upgrade onto my Dane-Elec 512MB card. Well... Let's just say I bricked it. So, I am following the unbricking guide, and right now it has the "Firmware Upgrading" image on it.
*stop skipping now!*

Ok, so my question is simple.
How long should the reflash take?
I got the firmware from John Willis' site.

Any input would be great.

Yah.. I had searched. Couldn't find anything more specific than, "The upgrading firmware image appears before the boot screen".

Any ideas on what might be wrong?

Well, continuing my use of this unbricking tutorial, I have tried to reflash the kernel. I'm on my second try right now, and considering that it's been sitting here for 30 minutes, with nothing but the image, I think something is seriously wrong.

According to the article, because my kernel was corrupted, I was supposed to do this, then do the filesystem and the apps. The kernel wasn't supposed to take very long at all, "three minutes, at the worst".

I'm getting my card reader back tonight. I'd been using my camera, and that may be causing some of the problems. I'll post again later tonight.

EDIT: Is this a good AC adapter? It was asked about in another thread, but no one replied after that post.

You can ignore me now. I unbricked it, and all is well.

EDIT: Bloody typos...
