Hi All,

I seem to be having some wonky behavior with my GP2X and Mac G5. Every so often, say it has happened about twice or three times a day, I have to restart my computer so it will again recognize the SD card in the GP2X.

Oddly enough this does not seem to matter if I use the USB cable, or I use a USB card reader I have attached to my computer.

Once I restart the SD card mounts with no problems at all. I am going to bring this up at a Mac forum as well, but would like to see what responses I get from the community here first.

Second issue, sort of related.

When I trash the SD card and hit "X" on my GP2X to go back to the Utilities menu, it sometimes takes a very long time to do so. Other times it quickly backs out to the Utilities screen. Sometimes it has taken so long that I have nothing else to do but reset the GP2X.

I am a patient person (well sometimes) and have grown to understand that you just need to be patient when using the GP2X. However sometimes this takes upwards of 30 seconds or so to jump back to the Utilities screen. Over a minute and I just reset the sucker.

I am testing the GP2X for a review and would like to get technical questions like this answered first. BTW, I would like to say the community here has been very helpful in answering all of my questions, as boneheaded as they may seem. So thanks.

Oh and I am running FW 1.4.0.

This seems not to be related to the GP2X. I experiance the same problem with my card reader on Mac OS X 10.4. Looks like it's Tigers fault.

I also have to wait very long from time to time, but it never took so long, that I reset my GP2X. Just hit X again and again.

Mine mounts fine under Tiger. Doesn't work on USB2 ports, but on USB1 only (i.e. keyboard) ports I have no problems at all.

I am using the front USB2 port on my G5 tower. I have no problems, other than the occasional restarts required.
