Sbagen

Sbagen includes a number of pre-programmed sequences. TheFr00n was suggesting that beginners restrict themselves to sequences of 20-30 minute length that contain certain patterns. Which of the pre-programmed
sequences should beginners like me be using at first?

Still working on this, Critical? :)
Might do... what's the TODO list? I've currently got:

Fix volume control
Make ogg support work
Add mp3 support

Anything else?

Wow Critical, this is a really cool port. I hope you do find time to fix the broken .ogg support though. I am, indeed, missing the sound of running water! ;-)

Downclocking the processor might not be a bad idea too. You can (ahem) 'borrow' the source from cputweak - I'm pretty sure it's GPL'd.

Thanks again for a great (and different) proggy,
Min

This does sound very interesting. I'm not really into the whole chacras/body energy thing, but I would like to test the effects of the disparate frequencies on my brain :) At least it seems to have a believable explanation behind it. I'll see if I can give it a try when I get home today.

I wanted to try it before i went to bed, but i couldn't listen to static noise for more then a minute. Is it possible to add these effects to your own mp3s or oggs? Is that what the broken ogg and mp3 on the todo list is about?

There are ports of this to most platforms... you might find it easier to use one of those to experiment further:

You can mix in your own sounds as a background track, using the -m option.

I don't think you'd necessarily get much joy if your track was complicated or absorbing, but I'm by no means an expert on these things.

Just so you know, I'm not working on this any more, and to be frank it seems unlikely that I ever will. I don't have the time or inclination to do anything else with it. The source is there for someone to pick it up if they feel the calling :)
