But is it in-game? cause ive only been able to get it to the intro with the stars and then it freezes, but that was also with 0.33; does 0.34 get it in-game?

that would be a thing of beauty --- if I didn't know the frame rate wouldn't be easier to measure in seconds per frame then frames per second.
hilarous! glad to hear that progress is being made on this

If tried running the emulator which Tekken 3, The file is in .z format from prepared with pocketiso. But it seems to hang on the 'Loading Game withoutHLE Emulation' or 'Loading Game with HLE Emulation'. How long should it take for the game to start? or have I got a problem. I've using the version .33

I think in version .33 that you need to have bin/cue files nothing else works really, and I'd recommend updating if you haven't already, it's always good to update (well usually :p ) and I'd keep bin/cue files, use magiciso

Has anyone tried the game "One" yet? I loved that game... or perhaps Crash Bandicoot?

I am totally in need of a platformer at the moment.

crash bandicoot would look awesome on the 2x screen, so bright and lush graphics...*drool*

ill have to raid my little brothers PSX collection later and see if he has crash, which i think he does!

also, when i compress games with pocket iso, some give me .Z files, some give me, .ZNX, and some give .BZN (or whatever), all so far have worked apart from .BZN

Please don't flame me but can someone point me in the direction of the tutorial on how to rip the PS1 games so you can run them on this EMU? thanks. I have searched but I must not be putting in the right words!

(ducks to avoid flames)

Version 0.34 d

how smooth is RE2? does it run at stable fps? playable or not?
It looks promising and is short before getting playable. But that depends on what you are calling playable... <_<

it is safe, as the specific CPU the gp2x uses will crash long before it overheats too much to damage it (or so i've heard)

the max overclock depends on your unit, if i overclock to 266, my unit crashes shortly after while playing a game, but some people have mabaged 305mhz overclocked and can play fine..it really depends on your unit, youll just have to test it yourself

is it safe to over clock the cpu plus wats the max overclock can u do on it?
It's safe to overclock the CPU as far as you want it to go, it'll just crash before it can cause damage. I overclocked to 300MHz and it worked for less than five minutes before crashing, but there's no risk in testing it to see how far it goes.

So far I've noticed everyone has the scanline problem from these pictures.

This is the only thing holding GP2X back, the screen is so lush but scanlines take away from it so much.

As for the joystick problem... its only hard to hit the directions (left, right) when you are moving it back and forth (ex. from left to right and back again). Hitting the diagonals isn't such a big problem if you don't move the stick back and forth like that.

i think what's showing up in those pictures is a moire pattern...in the couple that i took (check the blog) you get the same thing. there are two screen artifacts that i notice...one is diagonal...barely noticeable and the lcd tweaker gets rid of it. the other is horizontal and has to do with interlacing and (i'm guessing) a low framerate for the lcd. but it's not bad, really. i go crazy over such things but i find it perfectly ignorable.
