Hello everybody!

I uploaded the first version of my game BallGame last night.
you may download it here

It's a remake of the arcade game "Uo Poko". The zip-file also includes windows executables. However, to use the windows version you need the sdl.dll. The version in the archive should be updated soo. In the meantime the sdl may be downloaded from http://www.libsdl.org/release/SDL-1.2.9-win32.zip
(P.S. in the windows version Enter = Start / Escape = Select / down arrow = shoot)

hope you like it... :)

I'm not surprised that not everybody knows Uo Poko. It was released in Japan only and seems to be a pretty rare game.

Sound? Sooner or later I will add sound. However, at the moment I'm focussing on improving the gameplay, the graphics and graphical effects (little explosions and stuff...). The game is not yet as addictiv as I want it to be. ;)

Yeah I am a big stickler for sound. Stuff with no sound I don't put on my card. Your game looks good so far though. Looking forward to it when it is done.

Hi everybody

after a year I've decided to improve BallGame a little. It now features sound and includes all the levels and (nearly all) features of the original Uo Poko (single player mode). And a number of other improvements and bugfixes...

My Problem: I can't get it to compile for the GP2X. (I've got problems compiling programs with sdl_image and sdl_mixer). I've tried everything and - sad but true - have given up for the moment...

Nevertheless, if you wan't o play the windows version, you can download it here: Link. If you want to port it to the GP2X (or any other platform for that matter) please do so! :)

of course, everything is possible. :)
At the moment all the graphics are stored in one .png file. (Which can be altered to taste.)

please feel free to give feedback!
