Hey guys,
I have had a gp32 for a long time and it's gone over the hill. So i am considering the Gp2x, but i have a quick question. Does the gp2x show up as a removable drive on a computer? i am wondering because i own an iAudio X5, which has a usb host feature that i think would make a great match with a gp2x. And it mostly only connects to devices that don't require software and drivers. Is the gp2x like the gp32 where you need pc software and pain in the butt drivers to install? the thing i hated about my gp32 is that it would rarely ever connect to my computer. Did they get that stuff sorted out for the gp2x? thanks a lot for any replies! :)

It is shown as a USB removable driver on PC.

And someone alreay confirmed you can connect GP2x to MP3 players which has USB host, but I have no idea cause I do not have one.

:)

Yes, the 2X acts just like a usb key (when it works)

Suggestion for your future posts however: Try and put a meaningful subject title - "Quick question" is not really meaningful is it? So you may find some people completely ignoring your post.

Actual,y it was possible to get the gp32 to act as a removeable drive.

you just needed phodrive on your gp32, or have slubman's firmware
