i was wondering if there is a gp2x emu for the pc or if one is in development. i want to check out some of the games before i buy one.

not that i know of

most of the games at the mo are ports of games that are availalbe for the pc, or emulated games of other systems.

so you should be able to check them out

mrsnature is right, there's really nothing to check out. Go grab some NES, SNES, and NeoGeo CD roms and you'll get a pretty good idea of what most people are doing with this machine so far. Or play some Flashback or Quake or Duke Nukem 3D. Even the original games so far are pretty much clones of already available games. If any of that sounds appealing to you, then you'll like this machine. If not, then stick with the PSP.

dang. i an a psp dev and wanted to get into deving before i bought it as well, so that i could have a game already in development.

Well, so far as I'm aware, you can - as long as you're happy to use SDL. Prety much everything in a correctly configured environment that works in a 320x240 window on the PC will work on the 2x if that's your library :)
