I'm about to buy some nice batteries, but I had a few questions. First and foremost, can the gp2x charge the batteries? Meaning if I put rechargable Nimhs in and plug my gp2x in, will it charge them? If so, can it do it passively(during use)? I know there is already a battery thread, but I didn't see anything about this. Thanks

As i understand it, no you have to get a battery charger. <_<

It would be nice if like the GBA a replacement battery cover with contacts was released that means you can sit it in a charging cradle, although, doubtful it will happen..... maybe my GBA one will fit it.... :p

it wouldn't be terribly hard to get the back made, just dont know about the charging cradle. As far as it looks, I think I will be able to sneak in a charging circuit in the case. All it would need is a kill switch on the battery pack connection to the GP, and an extra plug for charging. Hax to the max ;P

Nope, and this was already in one of the other threads. Not sure which one though there have been so many recently.

Edit: I can't blame you for not seeing it though.

Since it doesn't come with a power adaptor, does anyone have details on the type we need to go out and buy?

I'm in Australia, if that makes any difference.

Cheers :)

I believe it is 3V centre negative. If you go to Dick Smith Electronics or Jaycar and get one of their plug packs with multiple plugs, one of them will work fine. That's what I will be doing.

One of these should do fine.
