I am prob-lee De-lu-tion-al, but I went to gbax.com (UK gp2x pre-order) and was creating a order for a gp2x + 1gb Sd and total plus shipping was like 160-somthing(Euros). Which = 195.00 USD , Thats not right is it? :huh: Some-One Correct Me.

Maybe you have EUR and GBP mixed up? (I'm making the presumption since I don't know your country of residence)

It could always be the website, but I've never had a buggy experience ordering from them...

EUR = ~$1.20
GBP = ~$1.80

no,
GP2X $189.99 (Outside Europe)
+ 1G SD 45 GBP ($79.45)
+ SHIPPING 17.5 GBP ($30.90)

189,99
+79.45
+30.90
-----------
$300.34

£17.50 for shipping alone? I hope that includes all export duties and stuff.

I ordered a GP2X and that 1GB card, including tax and postage it was £175, about the same price as a PSP so it better be good.

I'd imagine the console + cables would weigh at least 500g, thats not cheap to post

Online shops NEVER include "export duties" juste because, it's not their job ... Export duties are collected by the State were it's imported on the customer .
So if you import something from HK , you will pay the tax in say, Germany , but if someone in Hk buy from Germany, the HK guys will pay HK authorities the tax duties.

International Shipping is VERY VERY VERY expensive, so 17,5 pounds for shipping a Gp2x is quite cheap actually .

And "outside UE" price is a lot lower than the "UE price" because of EU VAT, calculated on British soil, since GBAX is based in UK (I believed UK VAT is around 17,9%, isnt it)

I Live in the US and I used a Currency calculator( Euro to Usd) I put in like 169 Euro and It said that it equals 199 USD. Is the Calculator wrong?

The 169 isn't in Euros genius, it's British Pounds.

For currency calculations you could also goto google.com and enter something like:
169 GBP to dollars
and click the search button.

google will do currency conversions as well as basic arithmetic, and some other neat things.

gah, foreign shit is so expensive, i might as well fly to hongkong and have liksang ship it locally.

Good luck with that, the cheapest flights to Hong Kong/China are GBP 300, even if we assume it's USD 200 it equals the price on GBAx.com; add on the cost of a Visa and the amount of hassle that's required to get it you might as well as import it and pay the taxes.

It is good to see something exclusive to Europe/UK though, there are too many USA/JPN exclusive products that we can only ever dream of.

It's not nearly as expensive if you just drop if 1G SDcard. ~220.
You should be ableto pick one up where you are stateside for $25-50 depending on who's has what deals.
