Battery Suggestion

Side question: are "Ultra" and/or "Adorama" brand batteries trustworthy and dependable?

ie: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...p?EdpNo=1543981

Man, what a load of shit! The American Tiger Direct doesn't ship to Canada, and the Canadian Tiger Direct has the same thing for $60.99! That's almost $15 more, even after converting the American price to Canadian dollars! Bastards.

Argh, after looking at Future Shop's website it strikes me that this is still a good deal. Somehow that makes it worse.

$60? why not just get a 1gb for that price. the batteries aren't rechargeable, right?

The batteries are rechargeable, and that's $60 Canadian. 1GB SD cards aren't quite that cheap.

oooh, i thought you meant it was $60USD at tigerdirect.ca. and those batteries are rechargeable?? i'd better jump on this deal, too!

Anyone know if these are good batteries or just money down the drain?

2700 mAh AA NiMh

I've just noticed that the GP2X FAQ says the battery life is 6 hours video, 10 hours audio using 2850 mAh AA's.
So I think we need to be looking for long lasting batteries

It would be really nice if Craig/GBAX would sell 2700mAh NiMhs. I'd definately buy if they were reasonably priced. Here in Sweden it's really hard to find AA NiMhs higher than 2500mAh <_<

I doubt they used rechargable NiMhs. Probably just ordinary alkalines...but who wants to use that <_<
