I've followed this guide to the letter and after figuring out that you have to "Full Processing Mode" on the audio tab selected, i tried to encode a Simpsons episode. All went fine until the second pass with the sound enabled when an error box came up saying
Error initializing audio stream compression: The requested conversion is not possible.
Does anyone know what I'm doin wrong?

I tried that but thats not it. It's not a problem with the gp, it after i try to save the second pass with the audio, thats when the "Error initializing audio stream compression: The requested conversion is not possible." message comes up. Please help!

I just tried the version of virtualdub on that page and couldn't get it working
I have been using version 1.5.2 with no problems but I will keep working at it

I got it working
Audio set to full processing mode
Source Wav
Conversion 11025Hz high quality Precision No Change 16 bit
Compression mpeg layer-3 32kbit/s 11,025hz stereo 4kb/s

hope this helps

I use Mpeg layer-3 with 40kbit/s 22,050 Stereo... Sounds alot better than the other crap settings but goes out of sync with the video when alot of audio is being processed like music videos, but works perfect for most movies and cartoons.

Thanx, I tried that but it stil comes up with an error every time i try to save. Its just the audio thats messin up, is there a way that i can re-encode that seperately or anything? Im tryin it now with direct streaming on the audio so does that mean that it is just using the origional audio? Will this work in the gp? I havnt got my smc yet so i cant test it <_<.

Direct stream copy won't work on the gp32 as the audio will not be changed.
Have you checked your audio codec is the latest one ?
The error sounds like a codec problem and not a setting one.
You can get it at Doom9
