Do SMCs exists that have a higher space than 128MB? I guess no, that sucks. 128MB is definitly not enough for one card! :(

This has been asked before, there are SMC's larger than 128Mb, but the GP32 can only use them up to 128Mb, it's a voltage thing apparently. Currently the only theory about larger storage is to use USB storage via Linux, but I'm not sure anyone has got it to work.

I love the sarcasm.

What I want to know is what's the -smallest- SMC that the GP32 supports? A friend of mine gave me an old 8M SMC that works fine in my card reader, but the GP32 won't even format it..

SMCs are limited to 128 MB by the standard which defines their operation which alows for only 3.3 volts of power. There was work being done on a new standard, but I don't think that work will ever see the light of day. :(

16MB are the smallest SMC`s that are supported by the GP32 iirc.

16meg SMCs are fine. I bought a load when seven day shop were selling them off for a quid each a while back. I'm still in the process of transferring individual emulators from my 128s to their own 16 meg SMC. It's amazing how much will fit on one 16 meg SMC especially with the 8 bit systems and computers.

yep - i wanted to do this when ebuyer had em on for £1 each, stuff like spectrum and msx should fit nicely onto 16mb cards!
