Download here, and tell me what you think!

And many thanks to EvilDragon for hosting my files!

Thanks. :)

I already have another two game ideas, but as my holiday job starts on monday, I want have much time to code except for the weekends :(

quiest can you release or pm me a tutorial even if its for a shitty game but as long as a fenix newbie can understand ill be the up most so greatful :D

hmmm when did you start learning?

Thursday last week ;) Fenix, though, since I passed my first semester studying Informatik (damn, what`s that in english?) and had that around three years back in school. We only coded in Turbo Pascal, though and I never tried to make games with Pascal (it sucks). Some months ago I started to learn c/c++, but I`m not really into it yet (haven`t reached the state of coding something useful so, a calculator maybe :D ).
And last week on thursday, I was bored, and so i was looking at the documented fenix sourcecodes at gp32x.de, and just started for fun. And I like it :D

And, charga_man, since I`m just starting with Fenix and I`m considering myself as a newbie, I`m not making any tutorials.(I have yet to learn how to properly make locals, privates and the whole father/son process isn`t really working like I thought, and much more things.)

Go for EvilDragons tutorial (I hope he releases the next chapter soon), and look at the sources @ gp32x.de, especially the shoot game "tutorial" (well documented source code) by devlkore.
I will soon try to comment the source code of my games, so they help other Fenix learners getting started.

They are both shitty, but there's two tutorials in GPM issue 7. Just really explaining the basics, without explaining anything.

I guess you`re refering to the tetris codes, I just looked at once, but don`t blame Devlkores Shoot, it`s really good to start with.

Oh, and there is always the community to ask, especially Moogle and Hokutoy helped me alot (and others, too, of course) Thanks people.

I think the hardest for me in the start was handling the fpg, since I`m can`t read spanish, but the fenix zone forum helped me alot.

he-he!

I find this quite funny, you say that you're a newbie so you don't want to make any tutorials, but I'd only been coding in Fenix for 3 days (4 when I commented it) when I released "shoot". I think you should comment the source code as well as you can (you can't have TOO many comments in my opinion) and upload them with the games. It will help lots of people (myself included) with getting started or learning something new in Fenix.

I haven't tried either of your games, but the new one sounds very, very interesting, you definately do have potential, don't keep all that knowledge to yourself :)

Anyway, I'm glad my game has had a positive effect (I'm not trying to claim Quiest as my creation), the more tutorials and commented source code we have, the better.

Sorry for the long post.

BYEEEEE!!

Nah I mean two I've written-1 explaining a simple Hello World, and another explaining Petals Around The Rose.

They don't really explain why you're doing it, just what you're doing.

Okay, I`m going to try to comment the Bouncy Paint source code as good as I can,
but the source of Two-Sider, is, well messy, shitty, buggy, ugly, and I`m working with so many tricks I could think of (I don`t know how you code, menus, but it has to be definetly better than I`m doing it :D )

rofl, and as long as you don`t shout "It lives!", devlkore, it`s fine with me
And now go and try my damn games! B)

And gp32x.de is not spanish, it`s english, it`s Evil Dragons GP32x file archive, which hosts those files.

And, as I said, my holiday job is starting on monday, so maybe I take the time in my breaks to drink some coffee (lots of), smoke some morons (lots of) and write something "tutorial-stylish" down (lots of? I don`t know).

EDIT: Arg, c i g a r e t t e s is a forbidden word on this forum? Well then, I`m going to smoke morons

If you (or anyone) wants any pointers with anything I've made, feel free to ask. Post it in the Fenix forum, because I check there almost everyday and if it's done through PMs no one else will gain from the problem solving/questions/etc.

I missed the "Hello World" one, but forgot to mentioned the Petals. That stupid thing (sorry, not because of you, because of the idea behind this!) drove me nuts, I couldn`t get to the solution. But it helped me one ore two times looking at the source, so, it`s not really shitty.

Why don`t you try to understand the code you`re looking at, instead of doing just c&p?
Take some bids out of it, look what thay do, try to mess around with them. That`s what I do.
