Erm, install a frame rate limiter? 60 fps should do...

Hey SpaceBoy, could you please post what issues you were having with Wolf 3D before (if any) and your remedy, as I can't seem to get it working.

It is share-ware, like DOOM1.wad, right?

I can't get it to work either on my GP.

When it loads in the title screens are off-centre and the menu screen is... well... wierd! thats the only way I can describe it! And when I try & do anything from the menu (whether it be start game, options or anything) it just re-boots the GP.

This is with the full version.

all i did was instead of putting all the .fxe included in the download in I just put the fxe of the one I want to use in gpmm and then copy the folder of just the one i want into the GAME folder on the smc. Im using a non lit unit with original firmware

You need a special version of the .VGA files.

You wimp... Yes, the porter (Flavor) said it runs kind of fast. In a attempt to slow it down, the current version (probably the one you have) is clocked at 33mhz. It does still run too fast, but I've adapted my strategy to fit it.

O.K., there are several .fxes present when I turn the gp32 on - is this correct?

I choose 'Wolf 3D'

A background comes up quickly followed by an error message...

"QUIT: No Wolfenstein 3-D FILES to b"

The zip file I downloaded had the gp32 folders GAME, GPMM etc. so I copied the GAME folder to the SMC.

What I am doing wrong? Could be a stupid question, but this isn't a Blu+ thing is it?

Your problem is you have to use the right .fxe for the game you want to play.

For shareware Wolfenstien, use SW_Wolf.fxe.
For Spear of Destiny demo, use SOD_Demo.fxe.
For Spear of Destiny Commercial, use SOD.fxe.
For Wolfenstien Commercial use Wolf3d.fxe.

you just need to seperate them up

forget using all the .fxe - install just the shareware version i.e. just use the fxe and the folder of the version you want to run

!
