I know of someone that is looking to buy a BLU but says that Lik-Sang is out and they don't know when they are getting any. Same for Play Asia and some others.

Does this mean that GamePark has stopped making the ones with dodgy LCDs and are fixing the problem? Or is it because no one wants to sell them anymore with the buggy screens? Anyone know?

if they do stop making the faulty ones and revert back to the normal lcd i will go mad! cos ill be stuck with this cursed blu+ and i cant afford to buy another gp32.

if they do revert to the normal lcd it would probly mean even less support for blu+ models.

I very much doubt they're changing the screens again, you'll notice they're also out of FLUs and the non lit versions neither of which have changed screens, I suspect they've just sold more than usual over christmas and are waiting on new stock. I think GBAX.com still have some though.

Gamepark are not answering email again, that could be related to it, we got a batch of 250 just before xmas day so we are ok until near the end of Jan.

They haven't been making FLUs or NLUs since the BLU came out. They should be out of those. Anything that was for sale after the BLU came out was just left over inventory.

The thing about them fixing screens would make sense though. After they started hearing about problems they probably stopped making more dodgy units. Then they looked into fixing them and after they did find the problem they would start up again with fixed ones. Plus they may be waiting until the supply of dodgy units are depleted before shipping out new ones. This way stores won't send the dodgy ones back because they are sold. So there would be a delay. I think there was a design flaw that caused this. After all they went from a NLU screen to a BLU screen, changed *HALF* of the motherboard design with the BLU and had *PERFECT* compatibility. Then they just changed to a different supplier and it had a big glitch? LCDs by the way are just that, displays, they just put out what you give them. When you put a voltage to them they change opacity and let light through in varying degrees. It probably really isn't the LCD itself it is most likely the LCD DRIVER chip timing that got borked somehow. HMMMM. It reminds me of when Atari redesigned the Lynx to a smaller unit and had the flashing pixel bug. There was a delay and after that it was fixed.

Either that or they stopped altogether and closed up, because Sony freaked them out.

They have cleared out all the stock to make way for the GP64, didn't you hear? :p

Seriously though, GamePark should get their act together. People want to give them money and they seemingly don't want it!
