I just added a chat room to my site, i was hoping to maybe coordinate some chats on different GP32 related topics. i don't know if i like it though, can somebody come in the chat with me to see how well it works with multiple people. I think it has one major flaw, with multiple people i think its going to be hard to see who is saying what.

then click on GP32 Chat!

Thanks.

I get a 'connection refused' error when trying to get in.

But it seems to me like you may be reinventing the wheel anyway. #gp32 and #gp32dev on efnet are both active. Both channels are running now, and people are in there. Judging by the number of people that seem to use those, I don't think a website based room would stay popular if people used it at all. Sorry if that sounds too negative! :)

i've been on while people have been coming in and people are not staying more than a few seconds. Is it kicking you out??

yes it has been.. but I found out why..-i think-

you can't close that first window or else the chat box closes too...

or maybe i'm just an idiot...

you're right and because of that and the pop ups, i've decided to use another provider, and a provider that i could embed the chat room right into the site so there is no other screen and no pop ups, enjoy.

like the previous room, someone log in and help me test :p

I personally hate website based rooms for three reasons. One, it's Java based, and simply doesn't have all the functions I have in for example mIRC. Two, I tend to accidently close the website in which the chatroom is, mIRC is recognizable, and I won't close it by accident. Thirdly, noone seems to use webbased chatrooms, so the rooms are deserted.
