Rar Files - What Is That


A RAR file is a compressed file or folder.
Just like a ZIP file, only slightly better compressed.

You can open it using Yanl and put a FXE or MOD or whatever in it just to save precious space on your SMC*

.rar is similar to .zip but has a better compression.

So you need Winrar to open .rar files (download it here). :)

EDIT : cozmic was faster than me. :)
And yes yanl can open .rar files on your GP32 too. ;)

rar is nice for computers cause you can split compressed files into many to make it more mobile ( easier to send small stuff a few times than large stuff )

Yeah, should work with the latest StuffIt.

If you like ZIPs better, on www.gp32x.de all files are ZIP-compressed.
All the recent stuff is there. The older stuff is being uploaded every few days.
