5v To 3.3v Adapter

I read in a long ago post that there was a rumor of a 5v smc card adapter for use in a 3.3v reader... anyone find such a creature?

Have you ever seen a 5v card? No? Me neither. I know all the people are like "I KNOW THEY EXIST!", but i haven't seen neither a 5v nor a >128mb one.

so the smc reader just stops reading after 128 no matter what? kinda like older versions of windows do with large hds?

I think it's hardcoded in the Bios, we just need a Bios modification :huh:

Has anyone actually changed the BIOS yet? I don't think it's really been experimented with.

If you meant the firmware then no, it's not just a matter of changing that.

its the ARM9 processor... it just doesn't know what the classification number would be of higher cards from 128...

I'm pretty sure the arm chip has no limit (or at least a very high one. The problem is to do with something else.

Spiv has fixed/changed/added several things in the bios (osx usb fix, exception/memory monitors, 32MB support).
