I didn't notice any other topic on it. So I figured I'd make one. This is one great emulator. Shows some real promise and the author is working hard on it.

i think it's cool someone decided to resurrect it. I will ahve to have a look at it, cause if we had an emulator that would allow me to play cobra triangle on the go --- well that would be pretty cool!

How does this compare to Little John? I liked the options on that one. Which is better?

I think Little John is a little better at the moment, but to me this has better screen resizing. For example. The edge on Little John is like Gray or Green on Mario Bros 3. On this one its Black. It might not be a big deal to most people, but its weird to me sometimes.

Yes, tis good to see NES emulation once more worked on. If he managed 100% compatibility at a decent speed, I'll be very impressed. Nobunaga's Ambition 2 is *still* something I can't play right at the moment lol. As is Kabuki (which is a brilliant game) and that one which was translated a while back that looks like a brilliant RPG (uses colours ooooh so effectively to give it an early-SNES feel rather than a NES one. It just doesn't work properly on LJ lol).

Good luck to him :)

v1.2 07/10/2003
- ZIP support
- Game Genie "feature" has been removed until further notice (very buggy)

v1.1 07/07/2003
- Fixed save states and game genie
- Increased speed of ROM browser

v1.0 06/26/2003:
- Initial Release
has the guy got the year wrong or is this old news??

This version works better at font control than Little John. So if you have one of those 110 in 1 roms that has every game under the sun then the listing will work better.

I cant get it to work... the screen just shows static, of coarse, that will probs be my batts... i gotta wait for another charge cycle :(

Little John does that already.

v1.1 is now out with a tidier interface and splash screen :)
I bet the ones from the competition weren't used. That's such a shame, there were some awesome entries and I put a lot of work into mine. General's was wicked. It's his avatar now. If you read this general, do you have a full size link anywhere?

Great release! Nice splash screen, clean menus with shadow effect.
Overall speedup, a lot of games I tried run around 25fps or higher. Nice resize option, nes games full screen on the gp32!
Keep up the excellent work.

Cheers, Mark

Are the Dragonball Z games on Nes any good?
Not really, they are odd board-gamish card battling things. Not that bad, but not that good either.
Ah thanks, thats a shame but I guess nearly all DBZ games are crap lol oh well I might try one or 2.

So you know, you can get full screen on little john as well. Set the video to fast and tell it to scan 240 lines in the options menu.
