In the proccess of selling my gp and either gettin a zodiac or a BLU so ended up doing a bit of research - Was quite happy to pay a little extra for a zodiac until i found out that on top of the £200/£250 for the unit its self I`d have to lamp up another £70 for a bloody storage card - Basically bumping up the price to almost double a BLU - SOOO not worth it!

Just thought i let other possible buyers know

urm, £70?!?

ok, maybe if your going after the high capacity ones, but against the gp32, a 128mb sd card at ebuyer.com will only set you back £14!

the cheapest zodiac compatable one i could find was on ebuyer 256meg for just over £70

edit - Sorry talking out of my ass - curse ebuyers search engine!

That makes the zodiac a bit more attractive..........

if i was you i'd hold out for a little while.

if the issues with yoyo's LJZ emu get resolved, then your sitting pretty, you'll have access to gb/c, snes, megadrive, ngpc, ws and nes.

if not then i would go with the gp32, or wait a while longer to see if anything else is created for the zodiac!

First off, you don't need a storage card with the Zodiac. You can store games, emulators, and roms in the internal file system (Z1 has 20mb internal, Z2 has 116Mb internal). However, you can buy cheap 256mb from Ebuyer if you want one. I bought a 256mb Kingston for £30.

I'm sure the issues with LJZ will be solved, but I don't know when, so if your buying for this alone, then I'd hold off for a bit. If not, then there is other games worthwhile, like Microquad (look on Zodiacgamer) and others. Even if LJZ never sees a public release, there are other emulators for Genesis, NES, etc.

The BLU is very tasty too however, and the new pricing deal (basically £99) is mouth watering. I wonder if GBAXs prices will drop anytime soon.

erm- 512mb sd cards are only £60.

thats the same as 4x 128mb smc cards.

If you could get brand new smc cards for £15 its not bad. Plus you get the convenience of it all being on one card and not having to swap.
